What are these dermal fillers?
They are crystal-clear gel form of hyaluronic acid. This is a substance that naturally occurs in the body. Hyaluronic acid holds water, hydrating and giving volume to the skin.
How does it work?
As we get older our bodies natural hyaluronic acid diminishes. This treatment replenishes the lost volume and improves your looks by enhancing your profile, creating fuller lips, and smoothing out lines and wrinkles.
What can be treated?
Dermal fillers can be used in a number of ways, these include Lip-enhancement/re-shaping/volumising, Naso-labial lines/folds (this is the area from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth), Cheek augmentation (adding volume to the cheeks), mouth corner lifts and improving the jowl area. For most areas only one syringe is required but occasionally more may be required to produce the desired result. If more than 1 syringe is used a further £40 discount given for every extra syringe used
What happens during treatment?
The procedure takes about 10-15 minutes. Anaesthetic is used either in the form of a topical cream or a nerve block depending on the area treated. An extremely fine, short needle is used to inject the filler into the appropriate area. This may cause some slight but brief discomfort, redness or swelling, which normally resolves in an hour or two. The effects are visible almost immediately and its effects will typically last 6 months to over a year.
